Water lilies that bloom as you knit. Inspired by Monet's famous paintings, this hand-dyed assigned pooling yarn creates a lily motif as you knit: the contrasting sections in the skein become blossoms floating on a watery blue-green background when you work them in a special stitch. No colourwork, no stranding. The yarn does it for you.
This is a non-directional yarn: it doesn't matter from which way you start your work. A step-by-step video tutorial shows you exactly how to get the best results, even if you've never tried assigned pooling before.
Choose between two bases: a hard-wearing superwash merino/nylon blend, or a 100% non-superwash merino. Colour note: the superwash version takes up the dye bath differently than the non-superwash version. The non-superwash is more similar to the fourth picture.

The 20 g mini skein (Superwash only) is a great way to try assigned pooling or add a contrast colour to a larger project.

This yarn is even more beautiful in person! I really love the light blue and pink, and the yarn is very soft and drapes well. Following along with Auridon yarns video for the Monet water lilies stitch and it’s looking beautiful, excited to make a beautiful shawl out of this!
