Flock to Skein privacy policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Flock to Skein is a game made by Sophie van Hulten, trading as Auridon Yarns, KvK number 77907337, Postbus 8535, 2031 BL Haarlem, the Netherlands. You can reach us at info@auridonyarns.com. We are responsible for the personal data described below.
In short. The game does not ask for your real name, email address or location, it shows no advertising, and it does not track you. Your progress is saved on your own device. Only if you use the online boards do we store a made-up crafter name and your list of awards on our server.
What is stored on your device
Your progress, settings, collection, streak and purchases are saved in the app on your device. We do not receive this, and deleting the app removes it.
What we store on our server (online boards)
When you have chosen a crafter name and use the boards, the game sends our server:
- the crafter name and the look of your avatar that you chose;
- the list of awards you have earned and the week you earned them;
- a random code the game made for your device. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) version of it.
We use this to show the All time and This week boards and to calculate your points and rank. We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, location, contacts or advertising identifier. Other players see your crafter name, avatar and points. Please do not use your real name.
The legal basis is that we need this data to give you the boards you use (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep it until you remove yourself, and we delete entries that were not updated for 24 months.
Purchases
Gem packs are bought through the Apple App Store. Apple handles your payment and we never see your card or Apple Account details. We only receive a transaction number, so we can give you your gems once.
Advertising, analytics and children
The game contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools. It is not meant for children under 16 to use without a parent. Children should ask a parent before making purchases or choosing a crafter name for the online boards.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase, which hosts the online boards on servers in Frankfurt, Germany, in the European Union.
- Apple, for the App Store and in-app purchases, under Apple's own privacy policy.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone else.
Your rights
You have the right to see, correct and delete your data, to limit or object to its use, and to receive a copy. To delete your name and scores from our server, open Me in the game and tap Remove me from the online boards. You can also email info@auridonyarns.com and we will answer within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
Changes
If we change how the game handles data, for example by adding advertising, we will update this page and the date above, and ask your permission where the law requires it.
