At Auridon Yarns, sustainability is central to everything I do. From the very first skein to the finished product, I strive to make choices that have minimal impact on the environment. One of the ways I do this is by dyeing my yarns using a solar-powered oven. This method harnesses the power of the sun, reducing energy consumption and making the process more environmentally friendly.

I'm committed to minimising waste at every step of the process. I carefully manage my use of water and dye so that nothing goes to waste. I'm still working on finding the most environmentally friendly dyeing options and am constantly on the lookout for new methods and materials to reduce my ecological footprint.

As my business grows, I plan to add a locally spun, non-superwash yarn to my collection. This will be a step towards offering even more sustainable options to my customers. Non-superwash yarns are an excellent choice for those who embrace sustainability without compromising on quality or feel.

Beyond these efforts, knitted items are inherently sustainable in themselves. Knitting creates garments that last for years and are often passed down as treasured heirlooms.
