It's finally here! My webshop is officially live, and I can't wait to share my colorful creations with you. After months of planning, experimenting and a lot of messing around with paint, I finally managed to set up my own shop. It feels exciting and a bit unreal, but above all incredibly fun to take this step.
From Dream to Yarn
What started as a love of knitting and experimenting with colours has now grown into a small business. My yarns are hand dyed with care and attention, often using a solar oven to keep the impact on the environment as low as possible. I try to limit water and dye waste, and in the future I hope to use more environmentally friendly dyes and add a locally spun non-superwash yarn.
What to expect
In the shop you can now find my first collection of hand-dyed yarns, such as the variegated color 'Aquileia' and my unique Flitskins — a bit of quirky, one-off skeins. (but more about that later!) I also sell accessories such as colorful faux fur pompoms and playful stitch markers.
The First Steps
As a starter, there is a lot to consider: from choosing colors and materials to building a webshop and discovering marketing strategies. It is a learning process with trial and error, but it feels good to take steps forward every week.
I hope you are as enthusiastic as I am and that my yarns and accessories inspire beautiful, creative projects. Feel free to take a look in the webshop and let me know what you think!
Love,
Sophie
