Sustainability in Every Stitch

At Auridon Yarns, sustainability is at the heart of everything I do. From the very first ball to the final product, I strive to make choices that have a minimal impact on the environment. One of the ways I do this is by dyeing my yarns with a solar-powered oven. This method uses the power of the sun, reducing energy consumption and making the process more environmentally friendly.

I am determined to minimize waste in every step of the process. I carefully control the use of water and paint so that nothing goes to waste. I am still working on finding the most environmentally friendly paint options and am constantly looking for new methods and materials to reduce my carbon footprint.

As my business grows, I plan to add a locally spun, non-superwash yarn to my collection. This will be a step towards offering even more sustainable options to my customers. Non-superwash yarns are a great choice for those who embrace sustainability without compromising on quality or feel.

In addition to these efforts, knitted items are inherently sustainable. Knitting creates garments that last for years and are often passed down as cherished heirlooms. By choosing Auridon Yarns, you are not only making something beautiful, you are also supporting a more sustainable and conscious approach to making.

Thank you for joining me on this journey to a more sustainable future.
